Iranian Resistance Leader Condemns Rabin Killing,
Reuters, November 5

        NICOSIA - A leading Iranian exile on Sunday
described the killing of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak
Rabin as a criminal assassination and lauded him for his
role in the Middle East peace process.
        A statement by the National Council of Resistance of
Iran said its President Massoud Rajavi had "condemned
the criminal assassination of...Rabin who played an
important role in the Middle East peace process."
        It said Rajavi added that "this crime was desirable
for the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran which is
the primary enemy of peace and the main source of the
export of fundamentalism and terrorism."


Rabin Killing "Divine Revenge" - Rafsanjani, Reuters,
November 5

        TEHRAN - Iranian President Akbar Hashemi
Rafsanjani on Sunday called the assassination of Israeli
Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin "divine revenge" for the
killing of Islamic Jihad leader Fathi Shaqaqi in Malta last
month.
        Rafsanjani was quoted by Tehran radio   as  saying
in   parliament: "... [Rabin's assassination] is nothing but a
clear example of divine revenge for oppressors and is a
manifestation of God's show of force."
        Rafsanjani said: "...The assassination of the Israeli
premier is in fact God's warning to all humanity."...


Tehran Holds Nationwide Anti-U.S. Protests, Reuters,
November 4

        TEHRAN - Iranians burned U.S. flags and chanted
"Death to America" on Saturday to mark the 16th
anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran....
        A truck carried a blood-stained Statue of Liberty
with broken hands. A marcher held a poster showing the
U.S. as an octopus that had lost some of its legs trying to
strangle Iran....
        A huge colorful banner reading "Iran will never
compromise with the United States" adorned the main
gate of the embassy compound in downtown Tehran....
        In schools across the country, students held special
"Death to America" assemblies to chant slogans against the
United States after the ringing of the morning bell, Tehran
radio said....


Supporting Resistance Expedites Democracy- Maryam
Rajavi, from a statement by the Secretariat of NCR - Paris,
November 3

        In the Iranians' largest gathering ever in Norway,
1,500 Iranians residing in that country took part in a
splendid rally last night (Nov. 2) in Oslo to listen to the
address by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance's
President-elect who is visiting the country....
        In a speech interrupted several times by the
audience's enthusiastic applause, Mrs. Rajavi said: The
growth and rising status of the Iranian Resistance vis-à-
vis the most savage dictatorship of our times is before
everything else indebted to the support and assistance of
the friends and supporters of this Resistance in Iran and
around the world....
        Mrs. Rajavi pointed out that the mullahs are not
only the enemy of the people of Iran, but also the enemy
of peace and friendship the world over, particularly in the
Islamic countries. Then she added: Decisiveness is the
only language this regime understands. The adoption of a
firm policy against this regime and imposition of trade
embargo, coupled with support for the Iranian people's
Resistance is the only way the establishment of
democracy can be expedited.


Rajavi Calls for Netherlands Intervention to Change Court
Verdict Against Iranian Refugees, from a statement by
the Secretariat of NCR - Paris, November 4

        In a telegram yesterday to the Prime Minister of the
Netherlands, Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the
National Council of Resistance of Iran, described the Court
of the Hague's decision to reject the requests of two
Iranian asylum seekers as most worrying and in obvious
violation of recognized humanitarian principles in the
world.
        Mr. Rajavi pointed out that the latest reports of
well-known international human rights organizations,
including those of Amnesty International and U.N. Human
Rights Commission, as well as the ratification in recent
months of new suppressive laws by the mullahs' Majlis
clearly reveal the amazing intensification of public
suppression and the violation of the most fundamental
social and individual rights of the Iranian people by the
mullahs' terrorist religious dictatorship....
        Mr. Rajavi emphasized: On behalf of the Iranian
people and their just Resistance for peace and freedom,
and in the name of humanity, I urge you to personally
intervene and suspend the present policy towards the
Iranian asylum seekers and prevent the Dutch principles
of supporting human rights and protecting the sacred
right to asylum from falling victim to short-term interests
of economic trade with the mullahs' dictatorship.
