BRIEF ON IRAN No. 328 Tuesday, January 16, 1996 Representative Office of 3421 M Street NW #1032 Washington, DC 20007 Iranian Resistance Condemns Kinkel's Trip to Iran, Statement by NCR, January 14 The Germany daily, Frankfurter Allgemeine has reported that Klaus Kinkel, that country's Foreign Minister, is planning to visit Iran. The National Council of Resistance of Iran condemns this trip which runs counter to the highest interests of the Iranian people. In light of the UN General Assembly's adoption, only three weeks ago, of a resolution condemning the religious terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran, and considering that in recent days the mullahs' parliament brazenly allocated $16 million to terrorist activities outside Iran, such a trip will only embolden the regime to continue its crimes against the Iranian people and export terrorism and fundamentalism. The planned visit also comes subsequent to a decisive vote two months ago by the representatives of the people of Germany rejecting the trip to their country of the mullahs' Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati. The German Judiciary has also emphasized on the role of Intelligence Minister Ali Fallahian in the September 1992 assassinations in Berlin. The German Foreign Minister's visit to Iran, there fore, demonstrates a blatant disregard for the will of German people and their representatives who have called for a decisive policy against the Khomeini regime.
