The director of Israel's internal security services said that the Islamic government of Iran is now directly giving orders to the terrorist organizations and the Islamic fundamentalist's terrorism has become a state terrorism. Mullahs' Continued Role in Bahrain Unrest, Associated Press, May 8 MANAMA - An explosion destroyed a house in a Shiite Muslim village, killing a couple and their 3-year-old son. Investigators reportedly blamed the blast on a bomb being built at the house.... Tuesday's explosion followed a bomb blast Monday that seriously wounded two policemen. A day earlier, simultaneous blasts gutted four stores and damaged five others in various parts of Bahrain.... Egypt Turns Down Talks with Fundamentalist Rebels, United Press International, May 8 CAIRO - The Egyptian government turned down Wednesday a peace initiative proposed by Muslim extremists, saying it would make no deals with "murderers" and "criminals."... The initiative -announced last week by Muntasar el-Ziyat, attorney for el-Gamaa el-Islamiya, or the Islamic Group- had been proposed by the group's leader in the southern province of Aswan, el- Sayyed Khalid Ibrahim.... El-Gamaa el-Islamiya is the most important of the Muslim insurgent groups that have fought for more than four years to replace Egypt's secular government with Iran-style theocratic rule.... Tehran To Conduct Large Military Drills, United Press International, May 7 WASHINGTON - Iran is preparing for its largest ground forces exercise since its 1980 war with Iraq, the Pentagon said Tuesday. In recent days, the Pentagon has watched some 20,000 to 30,000 Iranian troops move toward the site of the maneuver in central Iran near the city of Qom, about 100 miles from Tehran, a U.S. defense official said. The official said the troop movements make up what appears to be "several infantry and armored divisions."...
