Carpet Exports Decrease Sharply, Agence France Presse, May 28 An Iranian official announced the export of Persian carpet, during the last year, has declined about 40 percent compared to the previous year. According to IRNA, Hossein Orouri, the government official in charge of hand-made textile products, said that from April 1995 to March 1996, the export of carpet has resulted in $986 million loss....
