The lawmakers also urged Germany to join the embargo against that regime. "Kinkel's policy [towards the mullahs] has already failed," said Hans Otto Wielhelm, a member of the group. "Iran continues to order political assassinations and ... Germany must boycott Iran alongside the United States," said the lawmaker. Late last week, Frankfurter Rundshaw reported that CDU's provincial Christian Democratic Youth organization asked German government to close all the Iranian consulates in Germany and called for decreasing the number of Iran's "diplomats" in Bonn for their involvement in terrorist activities. Secretary General of the organization said the title of diplomat "should not be used as a shield for engaging in international terrorism." The Christian Democratic Youth organization believes that while Iran's head of secret service, Ali Falahiyan, is wanted by the German legal system for international terrorism, his "agents in [Iran's] consulates are planning the next assassination." The National Council of Resistance of Iran issued a statement lauding the initiative by the German Parliamentarians and the ruling party's youth organization as "another indication of the German public's opposition to the appeasement of the mullahs." The NCR said that this initiative is in line with the "aspirations of the overwhelming majority of the Iranian people" and called on the government of Germany to boycott the internationally outlaw regime.
