Minister of Intelligence and Terrorist Meetings, Al-Ordon Weekly, March 8

	Informed sources have revealed that Iran uses Kuwaiti territory to held the
meetings of Islamic fundamentalists to plan for attacks on the Gulf states
and the U.S. interests in the region.  
	These meetings, in which the amount of financial donations by some Kuwaiti
figures were discussed, are supervised by Iran's minister of Intelligence,
Ali Fallahian.  
	In a follow-up meeting chaired by an officer of Iran's embassy in Kuwait,
the American and Kuwaiti targets were given highest priority.


Worried About Future..., State-Run Television, March 22

[Eexcerpts from the Friday prayer's sermon by Mullahs Meshkini, the
Khamenei's representative in city of Qom.]
	...  This is the seventh time you are going to elect a president.  The very
first time you made a mistake... A big mistake...  But, thanks God, soon you
realized your mistake...  He escaped under the protection of the leader of
Monafeqin [mullahs' reference to Mojahedin]...  Now we are again about to
elect a new president.  I am very worried and concerned...  
	The revolution has many conditions.  I will suggest two, three of them that
are more important...  The first condition:  The president must be a man,
who has at least for a while studied in religious schools... Has taught in
Islamic schools...  
	Now, thanks God that there is this unity between the three branches which
is a fortune for the nation.  There should not be any disagreement between
legislative, executive and judiciary branches, and they should not confront
each other.  Do not elect anyone who would disturb this unity....


... And Worried About Western Borders, State-Controlled Radio, March 18

[News broadcasts by the state-run radio in western province of Kermanshah in
which the recent unrests have caused great concerns among the regime's
officials.]

	* Ali Fallahian, Intelligence Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran,
emphasized the necessity of strengthening the unity between Moslems and
comating the "arrogant groups."  He was meeting with a delegation of
religious leaders of Sunni denomination in [western] province of Kermanshah.
He described the "conspiracies of the enemies of Islam" to cause division
among Muslims. He applauded the role that religious leaders in this region
have played to neutralize these conspiracies...

	* The Public Relations of Bureau of Information in Kermanshah province
announced that the aware people of this province and the New Year visitors
can, as before, report any suspicious circumstances 24 hours a day...

	* Today a military official of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announcing the
100% readiness of the armed forces to defend the country, warned against any
aggression against the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic...


Cleric Admits Resistance's Activities Across the Country, Hopes They End,
State-run Radio, March 22

[Excerpts from Friday prayer's sermon in Tehran by Mullah Jannati.]

	I wanted to briefly refer to [the events of] last year.  During last year,
we had sweet and bitter events...
	On security, well, we had good things.  You had to be informed that
Monafeqin [mullahs' reference to Mojahedin] dispatched a group from Iraq to
Iran to sabotage and terrorize several regions, in [central] Isfahan,
[western] Khorassan, [eastern] Zahedan, [western] Illam...  If they could
have implemented couple of their ominous plans, it would have been
disastrous for us...  
	Nevertheless, this is another thing that we must appreciate very much that,
thanks God, our security is established.. .  God willing, the enemy will
always realize that in this country there is no place for conspiracy and
[thus] will halt its conspiracies...
