Thousands of Iranians, supporters of the Mojahedin and Iranian Resistance, today held demonstrations and rallies in 18 cities around the world and condemned the Iranian clerical regime's air strikes yesterday at two basecamps of the National Liberation Army of Iran. The demonstrators reiterated their support for the NLA and the overthrow of the mullahs' regime in its entirety.

The demonstrations and rallies were held in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Ottawa, Sydney, The Hague, Hamburg, Bonn, Wiesbaden, Geneva, London, Brussels, Rome, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Oslo and Vienna. The protesters received considerable support from political dignitaries and parliamentarians in various countries….

The resolution to the worldwide demonstrations of Iranians read in part: "The policy of appeasement and continuation of diplomatic and trade ties with this regime, under whatever pretext, embolden the regime in the suppression of the people of Iran, export of fundamentalism and terrorism, and violations of human rights, and run counter to the highest interests of the people of Iran...".

Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, called on Islamic and Arab nations to condemn the criminal aggression by the mullahs' anti-human and anti-Islamic regime against National Liberation Army basecamps in Iraq which led to the injury of several innocent citizens of Iraq.

Mr. Rajavi called on the leaders of Islamic nations to oppose the convening of the upcoming session of the Islamic Conference in Tehran and hold it elsewhere….

U.S. Warns Iran over Air Raids, Voice of America, September 30

The United States is warning Iran against further incursions into the "no-fly zone" in southern Iraq….

Pentagon spokesman Ken Bacon says Iranian planes violated the no-fly zone in southern Iraq early Monday. He warned the planes could be shot down if such incursions continue.

"We have communicated to the Iranians that they could be at risk, yes, that the no-fly zone is a no-fly zone," [Bacon said.]

The warning was communicated to Iran via Swiss diplomats, who represent US interests in the region.

Fruitless Dialogue with Mullahs, Voice of America, September 30

The Clinton administration indicated Tuesday it is not rushing into a confrontation with Europe over the huge gas deal concluded Sunday between Iran and the French oil company, Total….

Briefing reporters, [White House] spokesman Mike McCurry gave no indication of what Mr. Clinton might decide, but did say French efforts to draw Iran into dialogue through trade and political ties have failed to alter Iranian behavior:

"We have never disputed their right to have a so-called critical dialogue with Iran. But we've often pointed out it has not yielded much result. It has maybe yielded some economic benefit for portions of Europe. It has not yielded any change in behavior in a regime that continues to sponsor terrorism, and is responsible for specific efforts to acquire weapons of mass destruction against the will of the international community," [McCurry said.]

Iranian Resistance Condemns Total's Contract with Mullahs, Iran Zamin News Agency, September 30

Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance, strongly condemned Total's signing of a contract with the anti-human Khomeini regime. He said the contract was against the highest interests of the people of Iran and encouraged Iran's ruling theocracy to continue its flagrant violations of human rights and export of terrorism and fundamentalism.

Mr. Rajavi added: Khatami's presidency and the triumviral leadership in the regime have escalated the clerics' infighting to an unprecedented level and popular support for the National Liberation Army and the nationwide Resistance has become more extensive every day. Under such circumstances, dealing with the mullahs' medieval dictatorship will reap nothing but loss and will get nowhere.

Mr. Rajavi urged the government of France and other western countries to forego such dealings with the mullahs' regime as they are a black spot in the history of relations with the people of Iran. He emphasized: The time has come to identify Iran with the Iranian people and their Resistance.
