Besharati's brazen lies

In an interview with the regime's radio at noon today, Mohammad Ali Besharati, the mullahs' Interior Minister, announced that 540,000 military forces, including the Guards Corps, the Bassij, the army and the State Security Forces, have been deployed in the streets to control the elections.

In an peculiar way, the religious-terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran has acknowledged that it has instituted a de facto martial law across the country since yesterday in fear of public protests.

In the same interview, Besharati preposterously claimed that the number of participants in this election would be 30% higher than 1992. It seems that Besharati has revealed in a clumsy way the extensive riggings and fraud by the regime's leaders.

Reports from Tehran and other cities until 4:00 PM local time indicate an overwhelming boycott of the election by the Iranian people.

The mullahs' regime has compelled its operatives and groups of government employees to be present in the polling stations throughout the day, so that lack of public participation in the election is concealed.

In another transparent fabrication, Besharati put Iran's population at 59 millions so he can understate the number of eligible voters. This happens at a time that the actual number of the country's population is around 70 million.

According to reports the prisons, the military personnel and members of the security forces have been ordered to vote.
