Terrorist Conspiracy against Mrs. Maryam Rajavi's Residence in France

The mullahs' Intelligence Ministry had a plan to attack the residence of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect, in a Paris suburb, using rockets and mortars, reports from within Iran say. The cargo of arms and ammunition discovered on the ship, called Kolahdooz, at a Belgian port last March 14, was to be used in this terrorist scheme.

The shipment on Kolahdooz contained a high-caliber mortar launcher with delayed-action mortar shells, packed in food containers and ostensibly destined for Munich. Despite the fact that the ship finally docked in the German port of Hamburg, the said cargo was unloaded in Belgium to facilitate its subsequent transfer.

The cargo had been sent by the Food Industry Co. in the southern Iranian city of Jiroft, a company headed by Ahmad Shoja'i, a member of the Revolutionary Guards Corps. The company acts as a cover for the activities of the Intelligence Ministry. Kolahdooz was initially scheduled to depart in mid-February, but this was postponed until February 24, immediately after the new cargo of arms was loaded onto the ship.

The mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship, facing numerous economic and political crises, finds no solution but to step up domestic repression and export of terrorism abroad. The need for such conduct is particularly acute now because the regime greatly fears the spread of the Iranian people's nationwide Resistance and their outpour of support for the Resistance's President-elect.

A similar terrorist attack was to be launched simultaneously in Baghdad against Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance. It was, however, foiled before being actually carried out. One of the terrorists was arrested and another killed while preparing for the operation. The details of this terrorist plot will be revealed in due course.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran reiterates the extreme concern of the Iranian people and their Resistance towards the security and protection of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. It calls on the government of France to take the necessary precautions to neutralize the regime's terrorist conspiracies and guarantee Mrs. Rajavi's safety.
