72 More Memberships Ratified for NCR

Mrs. Mahvash Sepehri, Senior Secretary of the National Council of Resistance announced the names of 72 new members for the Council. They include 26 members of the faculty of education, 23 engineers and experts and 23 specialists and graduates from various universities in Iran and other countries.

The average age for the 39 women and 33 men who newly joined the NCR is 40 and their average years of activism in the Resistance movement amounts to 18 years.

In the interim session, September 23 to 25, the NCR members unanimously voted in favor of the need to expand the Council in order to adapt its structure to "the comprehensive advancements of the sole independent and democratic alternative during the two years following the election of the President for the transitional period after the overthrow of the mullahs' regime."

This is the second group of applicants whose membership in the National Council of Resistance has been ratified according to the administrative and legal procedures and the vote of all members of the NCR.
