Resistance's President-elect Meets with Edvard Grimstad, Vice-president of Norwegian Parliament

Mr. Edvard Grimstad, President of Norway's Parliament (Stortingets), met and held talks yesterday with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect, at her place of residence in Oslo.

While expressing pleasure at meeting Mr. Grimstad, Mrs. Rajavi said: The mullahs' regime has not only committed the most atrocious crimes against the people of Iran, but by exporting terrorism and fundamentalism abroad, it has now turned into the worst enemy of peace and stability in the Middle East and Islamic countries. The international community must therefore be active in enforcing a decisive policy vis-a-vis this regime and recognize the Iranian people's just Resistance as the only anti-thesis to the mullahs ruling Iran.

For his part, Mr. Grimstad also expressed pleasure at meeting Mrs. Rajavi and emphasized that the people and parliamentary representatives of Norway have long been concerned about the situation of human rights in Iran and therefore, they support the just and democratic aspirations of the Iranian people.

Mr. Grimstad expressed hope that the Government of Norway would in near future formally recognize the Iranian people's Resistance and lend it support in establishing democracy and human rights in Iran.
