Mrs. Rajavi Ends Trip to Norway, Returns to Paris

Escorted by a number of Norwegian personalities, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect Maryam Rajavi left Oslo this morning for Paris, where she is based.

Arch-Bishop Andreas Aarflott of Norway, Mrs. Ragnhild Haarstad, Member of Parliament, and Mr. Lars Gunnar Lingaas, Chairman of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in Iran, were among the Norwegian dignitaries who had come to the airport to bid f arewell to Mrs. Rajavi. Bishop Aarflott presented a copy of The Holy Bible to Mrs. Rajavi and wished for health and victory of her and the Iranian Resistance.

During her visit to Norway, Mrs. Rajavi met and held talks with leaders of all political parties in that country, including Mr. Torbjorn Jagland, leader of the ruling Labor Party. Also upon the invitation of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, she took part in its session and elaborated on the latest achievements and advancements of the Iranian Resistance for peace and democracy.

The Iranian Resistance's President-elect also addressed a large audience of Norway's personalities in a meeting held in Oslo's City Hall by the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in Iran.

Chairs of the women sections of the Norwegian parties and Messrs. Mr. Edvard Grimstad, Vice-president of Norway's Parliament (Stortingets), Kaare Willoch, the Governor of Oslo and former Prime Minister of Norway, and Gunnar Skaug, Speaker of the Lower Hou se of Parliament,were among the dignitaries who met and held talks with Mrs. Rajavi during her trip to Norway.

During this visit, Mrs. Rajavi also addressed a gathering of 1,500 Iranians who had converged in Oslo from all across Norway to listen to the speech of the Iranian Resistance's President-elect. In her address, Mrs. Rajavi said: Support for the Resistance expedites establishment of democracy in Iran.
