- Mr. Rajavi calls for public trial of murderers of a Mojahedin member, exposure of the clerical regime's role in this crime

Subsequent to the arrest by the Turkish police of a number of the kidnappers, torturers and murders of Mr. Akbar Ghorbani, a member of the Mojahedin organization, Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, sent a telegram to the Turkish Prime Minister, calling for a public trial of the terrorists, wherein the Iranian Resistance's representatives, including the family of Mr. Ghorbani could participate.

In his telegram, Mr. Rajavi said: In repeated interrogation sessions, torturers dispatched from Tehran severed Mr. Ghorbani's nose and genitals and pulled out his nails. Owing to his refusal to cooperate with them, they finally executed him in Turkey.

The NCR President added: This barbaric crime and many similar cases, including abduction and murder of Iranian dissidents as well as assassination of the Resistance's activists, reflect before anything else the unprecedentedly and astoundingly free rein the clerical regime's terrorists enjoy in your country. This is a matter which has been exacerbated due to frequent security agreements between your government and the Tehran regime's intelligence officials, first and foremost victimizing Iranian asylum-seekers.

Mr. Rajavi stressed: I expect that your country's judicial officials reveal the details of this terrorist action and the role of the Intelligence Ministry, the embassy and representative offices in Turkey of the Tehran regime in this crime and that your government undertake the necessary measures to end the mullahs' terrorist activities in Turkey.
