Blatant contradictions in remarks by mullahs' election officials

Appearing in the state television's 7:00 p.m. newscast this evening, Qadimi Zaker, the Interior Ministry's director general for the elections announced unexpectedly that the vote count had ended on Wednesday, February 23. His announcement contradicts sharply his previous remarks on Wednesday that the vote count would be completed by Thursday.

He added: "Currently, we are trying to address the complaints and compare the election results in 3,000 polling stations." But, again he delayed the final announcement on the vote tally in Tehran's election, making it conditional on the agreement and joint signature of the election Executive and Monitoring boards.

The blatantly contradictory remarks by the mullahs' election officials coupled with countless examples of rigging, vote fraud, threats and bribes, unveiled in the state-controlled media, further affirm that this undemocratic election of the mullahs' illegitimate regime is discredited.
