WCL demands end to "intolerable behavior" of Khomeini regime's terrorist diplomats at International Labour Conference

In a letter to Mr. Michel Mansenne, Secretary General of the International Labour Conference (a copy of which was directed to the NCR secretariat), the World Confederation of Labour called for putting an end to the "intolerable behavior" of members of the Khomeini regime's delegation in the conference.

In recent days during the International Labour Conference, the mullahs' terrorist diplomats continuously harassed and menaced the members of the Iranian Resistance's delegation in the corridors of the U.N. headquarters in Geneva. One of them was physically attacked.

In his letter, the WCL secretary general emphasized that "such particularly grave facts on the part of an official delegation at the Conference is unacceptable." He called on the secretary general of the Conference to intervene and take every necessary action to "guarantee the physical security" of the Resistance's delegation members for they are "in real danger of death."

Prof. Kazem Rajavi, the great advocate of human rights in Iran, was also repeatedly threatened in the U.N. corridors before being assassinated in Geneva in April 1990 by mercenaries who were traveling on official Iranian service passports.

Eleven Iranian opponents have been assassinated by the mullahs' terrorist diplomats since January 1996.

Due to the efforts of the Iranian Resistance's delegation this year, the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship has been placed on the list of countries whose extensive violations of international labor conventions will be subject to special examination. The regime is, therefore, anticipating another international condemnation.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran condemns the regime's terrorist conduct, and calls for the expulsion of the mullahs' terrorist diplomats from the World Labor Conference and their decisive condemnation.
