Mullahs' regime stages urban maneuvers to counter popular uprisings

The mullahs' anti-human regime has been staging a series of new military maneuvers in Tehran and other Iranian cities to thwart growing popular uprisings.

These actions come following a nationwide protest and publicity campaign by the Resistance's forces to honor the 15th anniversary of June 20, the day of Iranian martyrs and political prisoners.

To this end, the Khomeini regime held a maneuver near Mashad, northeast Iran, involving 50,000 members of the Bassij force in Khorassan province. The stated objective of the exercises was combat readiness and transfer of troops to the hypothetical clash points.

During the second week of July, the clerics will hold extensive maneuvers code-named Misagh (allegiance), involving the Bassij and Guard Corps forces in different parts of the country.

Terribly concerned about their future, the regime's leaders have ordered pro-government clerics, members of the Islamic associations and other suppressive organs to take part in these exercises. The war games are designed to confront urban unrest and popular uprisings.

The successful activities of the Resistance's forces on the occasion of June 20 in 62 Iranian cities, which met enthusiastic support and widespread participation of the public, prompted the Friday prayer leader of Ilam, western Iran, to warn that "We must always pay attention to the Monafeqin [Mojahedin] and should not assume that they are uprooted."
