Rajavi condemns assassination of KHEBAT member

Monday, November 18, Mr. Mohammad Nanva, a dissident Iranian Kurd and member of Khebat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan, was assassinated near Sulaymania, Iraq, by the Khomeini regime's terrorists. Fifty days ago, the mullahs' mercenaries murdered another Khebat member, Mr. Ali Garmaii, near the Iraqi town of Halabja in Kurdistan.

Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the NCR, conveyed his condolences to the Khebat Organization, and to Mr. Nanva's family and colleagues. Referring to this cold-blooded murder, he added: It would not be long before the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran be held accountable for such bloodshed and atrocities.

Beset by political and economic crises and incapable of confronting the Iranian people and Resistance, the regime has no way but to step up terrorism and domestic suppression. As the Special Representative of the U.N. Human Rights Commission has noted in his latest report, the condition of human rights has clearly deteriorated in Iran. Likewise, the regime has increased its terrorist actions against the Iranian Kurdish groups and refugees in 1996 as it has extensively enjoyed a free reign in northern Iraq.

Mr. Rajavi called on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn the Khomeini regime's terrorism and meddling in the Iraqi Kurdistan and do not allow Iran's ruling mullahs to freely carry on with their crimes in that region.
