Iranian Resistance lauds new positions of German parties and political circles for decisiveness against mullahs

As the hearings at the Court of Berlin continue, the private plaintiffs' attorneys, Messrs. Otto Schily and Hans Ehrig, underlined the mullah's involvement in state-sponsored terrorism and described Ali Khamenei, Ali Akbar Rafsanjani, Ali Akbar Velayati and Ali Fallahian as those who ordered the murders of four Iranian dissident Kurds in September 1992 at Mykonos restaurant.

Referring to the threat of issuing a death decree against the Federal Prosecutor, Mr. Schily described it as a declaration of war to the people of Germany. He called on the government to close down all the representations of the mullahs' regime throughout the country as they are the command centers for terrorist operations in Europe.

In another development, five top foreign policy officials of the Christian Democratic Party (CDU), the largest party in Germany's ruling coalition, distanced themselves from the policy of critical dialogue with the mullahs' regime. CDU's officer on the Iranian affairs asked the government to adopt a tougher policy against Iran and urged the Foreign Minister to forget the term, "critical dialogue."

The National Council of Resistance of Iran lauds CDU's new positions in distancing the party from the policy of critical dialogue. The NCR believes that the only way to influence the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship is to show decisiveness and impose a trade embargo on it. The intimidating shows of recent days in Iran are none but a propaganda campaign to harass the Court of Berlin and influence its final verdict. They are further proof of the futility of critical dialogue with the mullahs.

The Iranian Resistance is hopeful that the Government of Germany would respond to the public opinion and increasing inclination within the parties and political circles in that country to put an end to the policy of critical dialogue with the criminal rulers of Iran and adopt a tough policy against them.

The assassination of Iranian dissidents continue unabated. With the assassination of another Iranian dissident Kurd last Monday, the total figure on extra judicial killings abroad amounts to at least 17 since January 1996.

Appeasement of the mullahs not only runs counter to the demoratic and humanitarian aspirations of the greater majority of the Iranian people, but will reap only tension, terror and harm for the people of Germany.
