Immediate consequences of appeasing mullahs

Ali Akbar Velayati, the mullahs' foreign minister, announced yesterday that Germany must note its "international responsibilities and consider the wounded emotions of the Muslim people of Iran and the world." His remarks were followed by Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, Speaker of the Majlis, who brazenly addressed Chancellor Helmut Kohl: "Words are not enough! You must stop these conspiracies. The government of Germany ought to take serious action to end this situation."

Such remarks are direct outcome of Chancellor Kohl's letter to Rafsanjani and Mr. Kinkel's insistence on maintaining critical dialogue with the mullahs' regime. Appeasing the mullahs and writing letters to Rafsanjani who is among those accused by the German Federal Prosecutor of having ordered the Berlin murder, will produce no results but emboldening the mullahs in their resort to terrorism and blackmail for advancing their political objectives.

The Iranian Resistance lauds the announced positions of the Social Democrat, Christian Democrat, and Greens parties calling for tougher action against the mullahs' regime, and ending the critical dialogue. The NCR calls on the Government and Parliament of Germany to severe its relations with the Khomeini regime, this godfather of international terrorism and one of the worst violators of human rights in the contemporary world.
