Iranians' major demonstration in Bonn against mullahs' international terrorism

Upon the invitation of the office of the Iranian Resistance's President-elect in Germany, 3,000 Iranians residing in that country demonstrated today in front of the Federal Parliament in Bonn. The participants called on Germany to sever all ties with the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship and stop critical dialogue with it. Fifteen members of the Federal Parliament joined the Iranian demonstrators. Mr. Joachim Tapp, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Bundestag, addressed the gathering and called for the adoption of a decisive policy against Iran's ruling regime.

The demonstrators condemned the mullahs' terrorist threats against the German Prosecutor in a bid to influence the due process of law in the Court of Berlin, and declared support for the prosecutor's independence of action. They called on the government of Germany to give unconditional support to the Judiciary's freedom of action so as to provide for continued legal investigations against the Khomeini regime's leaders, who ordered the political murders, and inform the general public of the outcome of such probes.

Many members of the National Council of Resistance also took part, including Mrs. Fereshteh Yeganeh, chair of the NCR's Education Committee, Dr. Saleh Rajavi, chair of NCR Committee on Health and Medicine, Dr. Karim Qassim, chair of NCR Committee on Environment, Mr. Mohammad Reza Rowhani, chair of NCR Committee on Ethnic Minorities, and the Rev. Jalal Ganje'i, chair of NCR Committee on Freedom of Religion and Faith, who addressed the audience.

The demonstrators called on the international community to boycott the mullahs' regime and recognize the National Council of Resistance of Iran and its elected President who enjoys the support of the overwhelming majority of the Iranian people, as the only alternative for this illegitimate dictatorship.

The mullahs' regime, which terribly fears the political and international consequences of the exposure of the roles of Khamenei and Rafsanjani in international terrorism, has tried in various forms to intimidate the government of Germany. Its agents recently threatened to issue a death decree for the Federal Prosecutor.

The demonstrators called for the expulsion from Germany of the regime's terrorist diplomats and the closure of its embassy in Bonn, a key terrorist headquarters for the mullahs. They demanded that an international tribunal tries the leaders of the mullahs' regime for their crimes against humanity.

A group of demonstrators, dressed in white, symbolized the 17 Iranian dissidents who have been assassinated in foreign countries by the regime's terrorists since the beginning of 1996. They thus drew the world public's attention to the unbridled terrorism of the mullahs. The Iranians strongly condemned the recent arrest of Mr. Faraj Sarkouhi, journalist, the death in suspicious circumstances of Mr. Ghaffar Hosseini, writer, and the assassination of Mr. Abdol-Aziz Kazemi, a Sunni leader in Iran. They urged the international community to show a decisive reaction to the regime's stepped up suppression and executions in their homeland.

Some of the placards in this demonstration read: "Sever all ties with mullahs' regime, now!" "Iranians pay with their blood the price of economic trades with the mullahs' regime," "It is time that human rights take precedence over economic interests," "The overwhelming majority of Iranians support Maryam Rajavi, favor the mullahs' overthrow."

Citing the latest report by the Human Rights Commission's Special Representative which clearly indicated the deterioration of the condition of human rights in Iran, and referring to 38 times condemnation of the mullahs' regime by various organs of the United Nations, the demonstrators declared that the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship does not enjoy any legitimacy with the people of Iran. A delegation of the demonstrators submitted a copy of the resolution to the German Foreign Ministry.
