NCR condemns meeting of Vatican official with mullahs' foreign minister

The National Council of Resistance of Iran strongly condemns the meeting of the Foreign Minister of the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship by Cardinal Angelo Sodano, the Vatican's official in charge of foreign relations. The NCR believes this to be against the highest interests of the Iranian people.

The Vatican's meeting with Ali Akbar Velayati comes at a time when Christians are under maximum pressure in Iran and several Christian leaders have been brutally murdered over the past years by the regime's mercenaries. The murder of the Rev. Mohammad Baqer Yousefi in Qa'emshahr, Mazandaran, was the latest of these crimes. No doubt, the mullahs will try to take advantage of this meeting to cover up their crimes and step up the suppression of Christians in Iran.

It should be noted that last night, terrorists dispatched from Tehran launched their 43rd operation since 1993 against the bases of the Iranian Resistance in Iraq. They fired three giant mortars, weighing 200 kgs each, and inflicted much damage on innocent civilians in the area.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran strongly denounces shaking the blood-stained hands of the officials of Iran's ruling regime. The NCR urges the Vatican officials to not allow the mullahs take advantage of the name of God and religion to justify their crimes against humanity.
