Production of 4.5 million liters of gasoline halted

According to reports from Iran, a huge fire broke out at the oil refinery in Arak on Thursday, September 18, killing five workers and injuring several more.

Tehran radio kept silent for two days about the fire, the cause of which is still unknown.

At least 10 people suffered injuries. Six are in critical condition and have been transferred to Tehran.

Reports from Iran say that the entire isomax section in Arak's refinery was destroyed. This section produced 4.5 million liters of unleaded fuel per day. It will take at least four months to repair the damage.
