Najafabad's Bazaar is shut down

The people of Najafabad closed down their shops today in protest to the clerical regime. Except for a few food stores, the bazaar and all the shops across the city are closed.

The clerical regime has put the Revolutionary Guards, Intelligence Ministry agents, and State Security Forces on alert. The Supreme National Security Council has ordered the Judiciary to take action against any one who attempts to agitate the public.

This is the third time the people of Najafabad have staged a strike to protest restrictions imposed on the dissident clergy and theological students, especially Hossein Ali Montazeri. Earlier on, in the beginning and end of March, all the shops in Najafabad's bazaar were shut down.
