Iranian Resistance condemns Prodi's meeting with mullahs' Foreign Minister
Calls for cancellation of Italian Prime Minister's visit to Tehran

The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi's meeting in New York with the Foreign Minister of the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran.

In the view of the Iranian people, shaking hands with the leaders of a regime which is condemned in 42 United Nations resolutions for flagrant human rights violations and export of terrorism is totally unacceptable.

Such contacts, similar to economic and political concessions to this regime, will only embolden the clerics to continue their domestic suppression and export of terrorism.

Previously, government-controlled press in Tehran had reported that Italy's Prime Minister plans to visit Tehran in the near future. The clerical regime, which in its final phase is engulfed in internal crises and faces a growing nationwide resistance movement, will exploit this trip to legitimize its atrocities against the Iranian people.

The Iranian Resistance, therefore, calls on Prime Minister Prodi to cancel his trip to Iran.
