Execution and stoning in public

A 31-year-old man, Mehdi Mahmoudzadeh, was hanged from a crane on Sar Asiab Street, in the city of Karaj (west of Tehran) on Sunday, November 21. To intimidate and terrorize the public, this atrocious murder was carried out at 7:30 a.m., when everyone goes to work.

On the same day, Khosrow Ibrahimi was stoned in public in the northern city of Lahijan, Hamshahri daily reported yesterday.

The Iranian Resistance draws the attention of international human rights organizations and bodies to the continued violations of human rights in Iran, executions and stonings carried out in public, and demands that they condemn the clerical regimeÕs savage crimes in violation of the most basic human rights of Iranian citizens.
