Statement No. 13
Despite tough security measures around Rome's military airport, car carrying Khatami was pelted with paint-filled eggs yesterday

Protesting Iranians pelted the motorcade of the clerical regime's criminal president Khatami five times yesterday, demonstrating their anger and repugnance toward the mullahs' anti-human regime and its president.

When Khatami's motorcade was on its way to a military airport at 4:50 p.m., for flight to Florence, an Iranian dissident hurled paint-filled eggs at the car carrying Khatami. The eggs hit the windshield on the right side of the car.

Earlier in the day, Khatami's car was pelted with pain-filled eggs once at Rome's municipality and once near the Prime Ministry.

Upon arriving in Florence last night, his car was again pelted with eggs. When speaking at the University of Florence, another Iranian hurled paint-filled eggs at Khatami.

The Iranians, thus, stated their protest at Khatami's presence in Italy, declaring that he does not represent the Iranian people and that the people of Iran condemn and reject any political and economic ties with this regime.
