They pause in the hot desert sun to honor their dead from the war. This is Iraq but the victims are not Iraqis. They are Iranian Mojahedin, National Liberation Army soldiers operating from bases inside Iraq for the goal to overthrow president Hashemi Rafsanj anti government....
As they sang the Mojahedin anthem, "Iran the land of the brave" their thoughts were of the 40 known dead, the Iranian fighters lost during an alleged attack by Iranian Revolutionary Guards before the Gulf War's February 28 .........
The Mojahedin claim they were attacked inside Iraq by 20,000 Revolutionary Guards men when they crossed the border near Khanaqin on the road to Tehran but they claim to have retaken the area a month ago, killing 1,500 of the Iranians....
