Operation Roaring Lion No 14
In response to mullahs' missile attack on NLA camps
- Command HQ of State Security Forces for North Tehran was pounded with RPG rockets

At 9 pm this evening, Monday, April 23, operational units of the Mojahedin in Tehran pounded the command headquarters of the State Security Forces for North Tehran (Shemiran) with RPG rockets, inflicting heavy casualties to the suppressive forces and extensive damage to the building, the Mojahedin Command inside Iran reported.

The SSF Command for North Tehran (Shemiran) is situated in Niavaran (Bahonar) Street near Tajrish Square. It is one of the most important centers of suppression in the capital.

Tonight's operation is the fourteenth assault on the mullahs' regime being carried out in retaliation for the mullahs' callous missile blitz against National Liberation Army camps and the firing of 77 surface-to-surface missiles on Wednesday, April 18.

The SSF Command HQ for North Tehran (Shemiran) was a principal center of mullahs' Komitehs (urban Revolutionary Guards), which played an active role in the arrest and execution of Mojahedin in the 1980s. The center was also responsible for providing bodyguards for the protection of Khomeini's headquarters in Jamaran (northern Tehran). The homes of many of the leading figures of the regime are now in the specially protected zone guarded by this headquarters, which sets up numerous foot and mobile patrols and checkpoints to control the area.
